Birth certificate extract
Please follow the steps below to submit your application and prepare for collection of the document.
Before you start:
- You have a valid consular card;
- You have prepared all supporting documents in digital format (PDF, JPG or PNG);
- Fees have been duly paid to the Ivorian Public Treasury.
1. Required documents
If the application is submitted by the parents:
- Valid consular card;
- Full UK birth certificate of the child;
- Valid ID documents for both parents;
- Payment receipt.
If the application is submitted by a third party:
- Valid consular card;
- Full UK birth certificate of the child;
- Applicant’s (declarant’s) valid ID document;
- Signed authorisation (power of attorney) from the parents;
- Payment receipt.
2. Payment
Pay the required fees online using a valid debit/credit card via: ci-embassyepay.org
3. Online application form
Complete the online form carefully and upload all required documents as instructed.
4. Appointment and collection options
You may collect your document using one of the options below:
- In-person collection: book your appointment online to collect your document at the Embassy. Please attend on the selected date with your appointment confirmation.
- Postal return: you may request delivery to your address. You must arrange collection directly with the postal service or courier of your choice (for example Royal Mail, DHL or FedEx) so that they can collect your documents from the Embassy address, Monday to Thursday between 2:00 pm and 4:30 pm. The Embassy does not organise collection and accepts no responsibility for delays, loss, or any issues occurring during transport.
Important: booking an appointment is mandatory. Incomplete applications may result in delays or refusal.
5. Processing time
Processing time is 7 working days from the submission date.
